The Takayama-Hokuriku Tourist Pass (valid for 5 days) is a great and affordable way to travel via train around the Takayama-Hokuriku region. Get free seat reservations and unlimited rides on all JR Conventional lines. The Takayama-Hokuriku Tourist Pass also grants you access to certain buses, the Hokuriku Shinkansen (additional fee required for seat reservation), limited express, express and rapid trains. Do note that the pass does not allow access to the Tokaido Shinkansen from Kyoto to Shin-Osaka station.
This is a rail pass that allows unlimited rides during the valid period in ordinary car non-reserved seats on subject trains, etc. within the free travel sections connecting Kansai Airport, the Kansai area, the Hokuriku area, Takayama, and Nagoya. It can be used up to six times for ordinary car reserved seats on subject trains.
With the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Kanazawa and Tsuruga, the bus routes which can be used for convenient sightseeing within the free travel sections will be expanded.

Notes; Additional fees will be required for reseved seats of the Hokuriku Shinkansen.The Tokaido Shinkansen between Kyoto – Shin-Osaka station is not available route of this pass. If you travel on Tokaido Shinkansen, basic fare and additional fee will be required.
Exchange orders that were purchased, and tickets that were reserved or purchased, on or before March 15, 2024, are subject to the following transitional handling.
• For products that can be used on the Hokuriku Line between Tsuruga and Kanazawa, the user may use the Hokuriku Shinkansen (between Tsuruga and Kanazawa) in place of the Hokuriku Line where the ticket was originally valid on and after March 16 without paying an additional charge
within the valid period.
* The section which will be transferred to Hapi-Line Fukui and IR Ishikawa Railway (between Tsuruga and Kanazawa) cannot be used on and after March 16. However, as a special case,when using the JR Etsumihoku Line, the Hapi-Line Fukui (between Fukui and Echizen-Hanando) may be used as long as the customer passes through without disembarking.
After booking online, you can collect your Japan Rail Pass Exchange Order (EO) on the collection date and at the preferred Changi Recommends booth indicated during your booking process. Remember to collect your Physical Exchange Order from Changi Recommends counter before checking in for your flight.
